The Forum was formed for the following mission:-

  • Strive to inconsistently increase per unit realisation in spices exports by initiating products  & packaging development and upgradation.

  • Undertake and participate in activities to influence policies of state and central bodies.

  • Shall intervene and catalyse development of better technologies and farm practices in the supply chain by striving for standards of cleanliness, promoting safe use of post-harvest handling.

  • Shall act as a repository of all market, technical and policy information and disseminate it to all its members.

  • Shall enlarge in expanding the collective knowledge of our industry and disseminate scientific information to all concerned.

Since inception, the forum has come a long way and now has over a hundred members from different parts of the country who are closely related to the spice trade. The very fact that the Forum now represents over 90 percent of the spices export trade speaks volumes about its effective functioning. In order to expand its reach and extend its services to the entire spices exporting community the Forum wishes to induct more members. Membership is open to the actual spices exporters and Associate membership to those who have related interest in the spice trade.

The All India Spices Exporters Forum was formed in 1987 for the coordinated development of the efforts of Spices industry, and to supplement the efforts of Spices Boards, India. The major objective of the Forum is to promote goodwill and cooperation among exporters and to lend a helping hand in lightening the problems faced by them.

The Forum has today emerged as the representative body for the trade to liaise with the industry constituents, Spices Board, other government departments and agencies. Besides addressing itself to trade- related issues, the Forum strives for pro-active involvement by members in the development work.

Over the years, the Forum has been able to influence strategies for spice and their derivatives.

Is an organisation of exporters aimed at furthering the cause of spices exporters. It is registered under The Societies Act. Regular membership is restricted to exporters, enrolment being on the strength of a valid Certificate of Registration with the Spices Board in order to confirm that they are genuine exporters. Associate members, without voting rights are encouraged as they represent auxiliary services supporting exports of spices (shipping agents, shipping lines C&F agents etc).

The Managing Committee, elected from among regular members is empowered by the Rules to decide and transact all business except those matters where power is vested specifically in General Body.
