Is an organisation of exporters aimed at furthering the cause of spices exporters. It is registered under The Societies Act. Regular membership is restricted to exporters, enrolment being on the strength of a valid Certificate of Registration with the Spices Board in order to confirm that they are genuine exporters. Associate members, without voting rights are encouraged as they represent auxiliary services supporting exports of spices (shipping agents, shipping lines C&F agents etc).
The Managing Committee, elected from among regular members is empowered by the Rules to decide and transact all business except those matters where power is vested specifically in General Body.
WORLD SPICE CONGRESS is a periodic (once every 2 or 3 years) congregation of spices exporters and importers from various countries; a venue to discuss various aspects, understand each other's requirements/capabilities and has proved to be an important International event in the Spice Trade.
