Description & Distribution 
Indigenous to India, Galanga grows exuberantly along the eastern Himalayas and in South West India. 

Its volatile oils are of high international attraction, for its medicinal value. Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are the major producing regions of Galanga in India.
